I recall that 14 years ago I was charged with a misdemeanor but now I am showing a larceny charge on my record are they the same thing and if so can I get my record esponged.:confused:

Were you a minor at the time of your arrest? If not, you won't have much luck clearing your record.
If you were a minor it could be expounged if not you can't. Second it all depends on the amount if the law says a certain amount makes it a felony you have to steal more than that amount to make it so. But Why didn't you check before? Trying to correct something that happened 14 years is going to be almost imp[ossible.Quote:

The term "larceny" just means theft. It's simply stating that the nature of the crime was theft (as opposed to assault or speeding or whatever). What you are concerned about is whether it is a felony, which it is not. So long as the charge was for theft under $1000 (or in some states under $500), it is classified as a misdemeanorQuote:
