Hi there, my sister and me got caught shoplifting from Winners and now we have to go to the police for fingerprints, and later to court, is there any advise for us about we can do or said, we regret so much for what we have done, we are truly very sorry, and I haven't been able to sleep or think clearly for what I done, I'm very scared to have a criminal record, and I'm really afraid to tell my husband what I did. Does anyone knows what can happens if we don't go for fingerprints, is there away someone can help? I am really desperate and I don't know what to do. Thanks.

IF you don't show up for fingerprints, they come and get you and then there will be additional charges.

You go in, be photo and printed and they will give you a court date.

You should have an attorney. Most likely if you have no other record, you can get a first offender program so that after you finish probation, there will be no record.

The store will also be sending you a bill for civil penalties for their time and trouble, expect it to be 300 to 500 dollars.
