I sold it to a friend and he grounded out the wiring harness to the fuel rail. Since then I've gotten back the car from him. I've replaced the distributor twice from autozone, switched the computer, changed the main relay and swapped out the fuse box but I am still not getting any spark but the fuel pump kicks on when I turn the key to the on position. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

No it stays on the computer is from a vtec car

It will never start, until the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out. Your ECM must be an exact Honda Part No. match to the original--that's likely the problem.

Well the car has been converted to obd1 it is a d15b7 with a p28 ecu. I drove the car for over a year and the person I sold it to messed it all up. So now I have to fix his mistakes.

If it has a manual transmission, I think you need a 37820-P06-A01 ECM.

I could use that ecu but the p28 works as well with this motor and once I get this motor to start I'm going to sell it and replace it with a vtec one. Which wires should I check for voltage?

Check for 5 volts at the reference wire on the MAP Sensor Connector, with the ignition switch turned to ON (Position II). Red to reference wire, black to ground.

. Be sure to also clean the main ECM ground, located on the thermostat housing.

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter, paying special attention to the ACG (ALT) (S) fuse in the under dash fuse box.

Which wire is the reference wire

It's the one on the right, as you look at the connector.
