    Florida statue of limitations
If a warrant was issued for me in Florida for grand theft $15,000 but never served because I had left the state; is there a statue of limitaions for prosecution?

A warrant never dies or expires.

The term Statute of Limitations is often misunderstood. It refers to the time between the commission of an act and when legal action can be taken. If a warrant was issued, it means legal action was taken so the AOL timer stopped at that point. As noted a warrant never expires. So you are a fugitive from justice and this will eventually catch up with you.

No, the warrant will last though your death, it never expires, if you were not charged and if no warrant was issued, then the time to issue a warrant expires.

Sorry but you will need to deal with this, It should show up on the national data base so the warrant will show up no matter where you live.
