My dog refuses to eat away from home
I have a pit bull / Lab and his name is osh. He's a real cutie except when I take him to work because I can't leave him at home (neighbors) he won't eat at the office. Only at home. When he gets home he eats as if he was starving. Do you know what the problem is?

Try splitting his daily meal into 2 portions and feed once before you leave and once when you get back home. Controlled portions and timed feedings can be beneficial in weight management, so that not eating at the office is not even an issue. As far as the "eating as if he is starving"
Goes, some dogs and cats are simply eager eaters and will down their entire meal within a matter of seconds. I've had a few of those myself. Sometimes simply getting a larger dish so that your dog has to "pick" at his food rather than gulp it down may be helpful. I know one lady that actually resorted to a cookie sheet for feeding her over-zealous pet, but it worked.

I have a dog who refuses to eat away from home as well.
If it is only while you are at work then just give him a light breakfast in the morning, take him to work and then give him his dinner when you get home.

He doesn't really need to eat during the day so long as he has his meals in the morning and afternoon.

When I go away for dog shows we can be gone for 3-4 days depending on where the show is located and I usually take some raw chicken for mine. E doesn't eat a lot of it but I can at least get him to take a little.
