IF I made a small home business for my entire trailer park I live in. Do I need a buissness liecence. I also heard that you even need one for a lemonade stand. Is that true. Is everything that not technicaly a buissess like a lemonade stand?

Where do you live... in some areas YES you do need a business license for a Lemonade stand. Many types of businesses do need a license. And in most of those you want to consider a LLC incorporation... or you and your personal assets are at risk in the event of a lawsuit.

A lemonade stand is a business, they are offering a product for sale to the public. In fact since they "make" a product they would even be required in some areas legally to have the kitchen inspected by the health department. And they will have to have a business license and even a resale tax number and charge tax.

Also most home business will need at least a business license and if this is in a home, there will be requirements as to what type of business can be done.

But why kids need A business license when there little

It is called the law does not have to be fair, and does not have to be right, but it is the law.

Lets take your roadside stand for example, you stop and get some lemonaide. But guess what they were using bad lemons because they did not have to meet any health or code rules, you get sick and miss a week worth, or even worst die.

Of course the stand did not have insurance and they did not own anything. So you or your family are just out.

You start a business making cookies in your kitchen, but you are not washing things well and some germs from lunches raw chicken get into your cookies and kill some small kids. Who is liable.

That is why kitchens are required to be inspected and meet certain standards.
