I have this guy friend and I really like him and he really likes me. We have this flirting relationship. We don't kiss, have sex or touch each other inappropriately. I would like to know if we keep a none sexual relationship would that be legal in the state of Michigan? With my parents consent of dating just not having intercourse.

Michigan Law is what prevails here.

And if the parents of the younger party are not aware of the "dating" (with or without sex) the other person could be charged with parental interference - which is a crime.

As noted, there are no laws anywhere in the US that control the age difference for dating. However, while still a minor your parents control your social life to some extent. So if they don't approve and the 18 year old continues to see you, he could be in trouble.

But if they approve and there is no sexual intimacy involved, then there are no laws being broken.

The issue will be dating, no intimate touching even with clothes, no sex of course. How long will a 18 year old be OK with that.
