So, I'm planning to have an Alice In Wonderland Sweet 16 Party in late January. I've always had birthday parties at home, but this year I'm looking into renting a room somewhere. However, all I want is a ROOM. Not packages, not catering, not bouncy houses or bars or arcades. Just a room big enough for 5-7 guests, me, and my Mom. I'm taking care of activities, food, decorations - everything. My only requirements are (a) that it be in or around the Macon, Georgia area, (b) have tables and chairs and (c) have either a television with DVD player or an outlet where I can plug in my own TV and DVD player. Anybody know of anything like this?

A room for 5 to 7 people, plus you and your Mom? I'll be very surprised if you can find a place this small or a place that will allow you to bring your own chairs and table.

Have you tried churches that have rooms in halls for rent?

Also you can check with your local American Legion or VFW lodge.

You asked a question and I gave you good advice. You cannot give a member a reddie just because you do not like the advice or do not agree with it. I suggest that you read the guidelines on how to use this site.

Every major motel and hotel chain normally have meeting rooms and banquet rooms, of course they will try and sell packages but will just rent the rooms, we often rent rooms at those type of places for weddings, I have done a couple in Macon even.

Next there will be several EVENT HALLs in Macon that have rooms of various sizes or open to one larger room
