Never calls him her boyfriend just her friend, or her friend visiting from out of town. Yes, he lives 900 miles away. Her other friend told me she's really into him though... I'm not convinced. If I didn't find out from a third party I'd never have known. Don't know what to do.

She very well could be single, but her friend just didn't get the news yet.

Just ask this girl if she has a boyfriend, and whatever she says, take her word for it.

I have learned that he does exist but why would she call him her friend instead of calling it like it is?

Perhaps he is only boyfriend when he is in town and she wants to be free to have other "friends" at other times.

She may not like the word and just thinks of them as friends.

But best way to know, ask them, why they don't use boyfriend, and let them tell you, since we can only guess the same as you.

I don't know maybe she was hit in the head and suffered short-term memory loss, and completely forgot she was dating this guy.
