My marriage has ended and it looks like my wife will get everything that she wants and I will become home less with a sum of money but not enough to buy a house , my work is suffering because of my situation and I am depressed , I need to talk to somebody / please help me as I am nearing the end of my tether

Stay calm and try not to over-react. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by all of the problems that a divorce can create. The trick is to break your problems down into smaller, more manageable pieces. Think of it as laying a brick wall. The wall isn't built all at the same time, but rather brick by brick until the wall is complete. Use this same principal here. Take your problems one at a time. Fix right now what you can fix right now. Work on the other stuff as time and resources present themselves.

Don't let your work suffer. You'll need all of the money that you can get. When you're at work, then you're at work and nothing else matters. After work you should continue fixing your problems, brick by brick, everyday until life becomes bearable again. It's going to take time and effort, but that's how I have worked through the toughest times of my life. Find a divorce support group in your area. They possibly have resources to help keep you afloat, or at least can get you in touch with an organization that can help. Don't be proud. Do it. Be specific about your needs. If she is getting more than 1/2 she had a better lawyer, so suck it up and move on. Throw yourself into the work and build it back up. So you can't buy a house, you rent, assume you are renting somewhere now ?
