Please Help me when I was a little girl I watched this movie with a little boy and girl and they found a Sea Turtle on the beach they then carved their intials in the back of the sea turtle and let it go.. Years later they came back and were in a boat ( I think the Boy was in trouble? ) and all of a sudden a HUGE sea turtle appeared out of the water and it was their SEA Turtle with the int.s and all.. I don't know the name of it and would love to watch it again.. I can only remember that part.. So I hope someone will know what I am talking about.. My memory is seeing what a 8 year old saw so if you can tell me the name it would be great.. Have a great day and God Bless.

I saw the same movie when I was little too. I thought I had imagined it or remembered it wrong! I don't know the name but at least I'm not the only one who saw it!

I saw this movie when I was 9 or 10 and have been afraid of turtles my whole life because of it. Growing up my family had a river boat and I would NEVER swim in deep water that I couldn't see the bottom because I was terrified of turtles. I've told my kids about this movie and the parts I could remember. I never knew the name of it until today, I went on the internet to see if I could find anything. I searched for "movie about a huge turtle" and found your posting along with another one that says he has searched for this movie for decades. The name of it is The Bermuda Depths and I also found a site that summarizes the whole movie, how interesting!! And now I remember!
I also found a petition that people are signing to get the movie put on DVD. It looks like you can't find a copy of it now, isn't that sad. Something I read said it was an ABC movie twice in August of 1979 and 1980 and each time it was an edited version of the first full movie. Well this is the first time I've ever responded to a question on the internet. Since you just posted it in Feb. 07, I thought I would write back and let you know what I found.
