My unmarried daughter from Arizona wants to move out of state to be with her family in Ohio. She has never been married to the father of the child. DNA testing proved he is the father. What are her options?
1. File in court for custody, get a child custody order and a child support order. In court have the court approve her move out of state.
2. Move and hope that the father of the child does not file in court to order the child returned.
Unless there is a court order allowing him joint custody and visitation, then she is free to move. However, if he files in AZ court before she has established residence in OH, it possible the courts will order the return of the child.
