No. On an H4 visa you are not allowed to work

Hi,

I was working free lancing (software development) in India and my client was in Europe. Now I have moved to USA and still doing free lancing but client is sending money into India bank and I am also filling tax.

Please let me know it is legal?

You cannot do any kind of work in the US while on H4 (except for unpaid volunteer work)
