    Hello amy:

Does anyone know NY law? Sure.

She wasn't a tenant. You have no contract with her. She's an adult. You have absolutely NO responsibility to keep her stuff. Tell her that whatever you find of hers after 7 days will be put out on the street - and then do it.

Or, rent a storage facility and move the stuff into it. Many will give you the 1st month free. Then present her with the key to the unit and the second month's bill.

You gave her enough verbal notice. Mail her a certified letter and if she doesn't respond by the date on the letter throw her stuff out. Don't put yourself in more financial burden to store her stuff.
