No, unless you live in a state where your income is consider when sitting the amount he pays, but still it is he that pays, Now that may mean he can not pay rent, or pay car payments or buy food, so your money will go to do those things, but you don't have to pay this child support.

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

But it is unlikely your salary or assets would be taken for his support payments. However joint accounts could be attached to pay for arrears.

P.S. for future reference please choose an appropriate forum to post in. I moved this from the Art forum (1st on the list) which is clearly not appropriate.

You are not legally bound to pay.
His children are not your legal binding children.
You are a step-mother, with NO rights. The children's Mother & Father are the 2 people who are liable for these children. If you should ever divorce him, they would be out of your life just as he would with no ties.
No ! Legally, you don't have to pay.
Being his partner, he may want/ask/demand that you pay (whatever the circumstance is).
You will only pay because you want to pay.

We appereciate help with answers to questions but we try to be little more exact when answering them. Please stop making blanket statements when answering unless you actually do know the answer.

If the OP is from Canada then they may end up paying child support in his children. Since we don't know the OP's location then its best to wait until its known before answering.
