Hi, I have a girlfriend, and she's is 14 years old, and I am 17 years old. We been dating for a year now, and and we haven't done anything beyond kissing, and we plan to keep it that way until she's at the age of consent. I love her a lot, and she loves me too. We have talked about this. I don't want to lose her. I love her too much.

What do her parents think? Do you have to sneak around to see each other? Do you know that even kissing can be trouble for a guy your age?

Dating, is not illegal, if her parents are okay with it, but if they don't know, you both can be in trouble. You with the law. You don't have to go beyond just kissing for there to be a problem with the law, as long as she is a minor.

So if you have been "dating" since she was 12, what is the problem, Or have you not done it with her parents knowing.
Of course even kissing could be an issue, since at certain ages, even touching though the clothes is child molesting in some areas.

I think Father Chuck is heading you in the right direction. If you love her, truly love her and don't want to lose her: talk with her parents and get their support for your relationship and follow their guidance/boundaries.

You will soon be an adult and she will not - you have much to lose if you do not take care. Not only your relationship but perhaps you may get into legal troubles - take care and make sure to talk with her and her parents.

Depends on where you are at, since it may be OK to date, but not to have any sexual ( physcial contact) if you touch her even though clothing, can be a crime against a minor in some places at her age.

And who ever said age is just a number is a fool when it comes to minors who don't have maturity and are easy controlled by a older male.

I wonder why they never say anything about what the parents would say. Always leads me to believe that these so in love under aged girls are sneaking about with an older guy, and that's what's really wrong, and would lead to BIG trouble from a parent.

Its only okay to date a minor if the parents, or guardian says so. Naw, they rather believe a dumb a$$ their own ages to tell them its okay.

But if its worth jail time for, it must be love right?? Wake up young guys!!

And they don't have a clue that they can (and often are) charged with parental interference - and end up in the Court system, with or without having sex.
