Something is odd, 6.6 HP is not a standard NEMA motor size.
And according to NEC Table 430.250, a 7.5 HP is rated 24.2 amps at 208 volts.
Disconnecting means needs to be rated no less than 115 % of full running load of the motor.
Thanks tKrussell,
I Thought the same thing a 6.6 hp wasn't in my 2008 code book so how I'm going to calculate this.
Also in the NEC 430.22(E) says that elevators have to have a duty cycle service on the nameplate,
(5)min, (15)min,(30&60)min, or continuous rated motor. So depending on the amperage and multiplying
The percentages will give me the correct amps.
Thanks once again
