My doctor prescribed 1-2 tablets, but it isn't helping my severe back pain. Will 3 hurt me?

So.. call your doctor... only they know you well enough to guess what is going to be too much. There are so many things that effect what amount is correct nobody can guess online. There are serious health risks for guessing wrong.

No you can not take more then 2, reasion being that hydrocodine in pill form is not just hydrocodine. It also contains Acetaminophen among other things. 2 pills is the max dose cause the Acetaminophen can become toxic to your liver. If there not working try asking for a stronger mix, your prob taking the 5/500mg's ask for the 10/325mg's, but as always your doctor knows best so just do what he says!
