    New puppy not eating?
Brought home a new puppy and they were kept outside.. he is 7 weeks old.. he acts as if he is afraid of thhe inside and if I take him out he walks around.. barely has eaten or drank anything all day? Concerns? Or is this normal?

    Brought home from where?
He needs an enclosure inside, and calm, quiet, and company. He needs to adjust to people, and not played too hard with children for a bit. If you don't have a crate, get a big box with an open top and put a blanket in it and water. Move it to near a bed where someone sleeps at night.
He needs a series of shots.
Read the top of this board and all over the internet about how to raise a dog.

Poor puppy, yes it does sound normal. Imagine how the puppy feels, he has lived with his brothers, sisters and mother his whole (albeit short) life, and all of a sudden some strangers take him away to a new place.
It's a scary time for a puppy and pining for their previous home and siblings is normal at first.

Just take it slowly. Start with whatever room in your house is the largest so he doesn't feel too closed in after being outside and just let him explore. Leave some treats around on the floor so he associates things like carpet and furniture as good things, not something to be afraid of.

How long have you had the puppy for? If it has been more than a day and he hasn't had anything to drink I would be a little concerned. Have you tried giving him puppy milk, much more interesting than plain water to a pup.
