    Exercise with COPD
How can I exercise and lose weight while I have COPD, which stops me from doing treadmils and exhausting exercises, and I have carpal and cubital tunnel which stops me from lifting weights/ I do walk everyday out in the woods, but I have to stop periodically to catch my breath. I desperately want to lose at least 30 pounds. What's the best and safest way for me to accomplish this?

Chronic obstructive polmonary disease COPD is debilitating disease and you don't say which stage you are in; are you on an oxygen inhilator, if so, then, walking, working out, even everyday movements would be taxing. I am not trying to discourage you, but you are limited in any stage of COPD and you do have the right idea though. Losing weight with less stress on your heart and lungs will help you live longer but realize this is a chronic condition and not refurbishable.

You don't say what other medical conditions you have, i.e. high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.

However, hate, we can't diagnose, advise, and can only say that you and your doctor know your true condition and perhaps your best bet is consulting a nutrionist recommended by your doctor,
