    Red dye.
    Hey,
I am in a little bit of a crisis. I have naturally dirty blonde hair, but as of a bad dying job I ended up turning my hair a dark red (which didn't look too bad). But, beside that, every time I try to get my hair another colour, the red seems to come through. I just recently tried to dye my hair "medium copper brown"... and again it turned this dark red colour. I have a formal dinner to go to in about 5 days.

Any help is very much appreciated.

You need to nutralise the red with a "green" tone hun - this can be found written on some packages that you buy off the shelf - it will read like - 6/4 , or 5/4 or 7/4- the number 4 has the green tone in it - Don't WORRY the green tone won't make it green you would not evan no it was there...
If you can not find these numbers (as the numbers are international so it don't matter what make of product it is) go to a salon who will complete the service proffesionally -
    Good luck hun

If you don't want red tones in your hair, avoid hair colors such as copper. An ash color with a green base will neutralize the red tones in your hair. Choose a medium "ash" brown hair color.
