find (f-g)and(f+g)(2) for f(x)=4xsquared +x-2 andg(x)=5+4x+4xsquared

f-g = 4x^2+x-2 - (5+4x+4x^2) = 4x^2+x-2-5-4x-4x^2
now just collect like terms and you're done!

do similarly for f+g but then just substitute 2 for x and calculate the result.

ask if you don't understand some step.
