My dad recently passed. He had 2 children, however One was never accepted/acknowledged by his family.. me. My sibling informed me that our dad wrote a will @6months ago and left her everything.. She said the will was recorded at this time in the parish where he lived. I am told no such will was recorded with my dads name on it. I doubt that this will exists. My dad and I did have a relationship, outside this family. I am legally his child. How can I find out if I have been "conveniently" left out, or my existence not told to the attny doing his secession?
