After unprotected sex, discharge. Am I pregnant?
All right so I am 17 years old, and me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex all the time. About two weeks ago I got off my period and started birth control. But after I got off, my vagina started to itch a lot. I looked at my underwear and this brownish red discharge came out. It's been going on for about 2 in a half weeks. My vagina is really sore and dry, even when I go to pee and wipe it hurts. I am worried that I am pregnant. The discharge will not stop.

That does not sound like pregnancy to me. You could be having a reaction to the type of birth control you are on. I suggest making a doctors appointment because there is also a risk of yeast infection, STD, etc. Brown/red discharge is typically "old blood" from before or after your period. Its fairly common but with the rest of your symptoms you should have a physical exam.

Please don't avoid seeing the doctor. IF it is a yeast infection, only a doctor can diagnose you and give you the proper treatment. There are over-the-counter meds but without knowing for sure that's what you have, you should not use those meds. It could be a lot of things so the doctor who prescribed the birth control should be contacted since it could be related.

If you were both truly virgins, the risk of having an STD is very low, but not impossible.

I don't know how to go without telling my mom, she doesn't know! Like I'm sooo scared. If there was a chance of having an std would they tell my mom

It does sounds like an infection or STD, and yes you need to see the doctor, depending on what it is, it can only get worst.

Some may even seem to go away temp but are still there doing other damage to your body.

How did you get birth control if your mom isn't aware?
It depends on where you live but at 17, they won't necessarily tell your mother. Don't be scared about telling her you have discharge/itching. Everyone woman goes through theses kinds of things at some point. The important thing is you take care of yourself.

Justforsims01, you are making an adult decision to have sex at 17. You need to show that same level of decision making when dealing with the consequences of your sexual activity. That includes seeking medical attention for what sounds like an infection, and obtaining birth control properly, not using somebody's leftover pill pack. If you have decided that you are mature enough for a sexual relationship, you should also be mature enough to make sure that the relationship is a safe and healthy one.

Stop taking it immediately and tell your doctor what you've taken. Taking someone else's prescription is very dangerous. Forget worrying that your mom will be upset - its too late for that now. It's important that you see your doctor ASAP and be honest about what you are experiencing. Take the pill pack with you so your doc can see exactly what you've taken.
