Can a Child Support Enforcement agency garnish 100 percent of my wages?
Can a Child Support Enforcement agency effectively garnish 100 percent of my wages by putting a lien on the account where my check is direct deposited?
They already collect 60 percent and now that they've captured my direct deposit, I feel they've gone over the line. Why would I continue to work and pay the 60 percent?

While they can not garnish 100 percent, they can put a lien on any and all bank accounts. So you will have to stop the direct deposit and get paid a actual check that you will cash.

While it seems and they do get all of the money, it is two different things, taking bank account is one issue, garnishment of the paycheck is another, they can do both.
Your only choice is not to have direct deposit.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Yes sorry, it is bad but it is allowed. So you will have to go to money orders to pay bills and keeping the money "under the mattress.

Some points here. First, if they are attaching your assets, it indicates that you have arrears. So there was a time when you were not paying your court ordered support. I'm not judging you since I don't know why you fell behind. But there were things you might have done to mitigate the amount you owe.
