    Title of a vampire novel
So I can't recall when I read this, maybe about 12 or so years ago. Any who this is what I got. There is an Immortal and a werewolf who team up to take down a powerful vampire queen who has sealed off Manhattan using storms and earthquakes. The Immortal guy uses ironwood to kill stuff. I really remember liking this novel but for the life of me I can't find it in my collection of books nor have my searches returned any results.

Maybe this (part of a series) --

Amazon.com: Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter) (9780425240137): Nalini Singh: Books

Elena returns home with Raphael to Manhattan and begins trying to reconcile her old life with her new - preparing to resume her duties as Guild Hunter in addition to being mate to the dangerous immortal archangel. Her wings have not made her life any easier, not with her estranged father, and not with the other immortals including Raphael's inner circle of seven who still see her as a liability to Raphael. But when "something wicked this way comes" and a `sleeper' begins to rouse - causing floods, quakes and storms, and stirring immortals to bloodlust and rage - Raphael's love for Elena may not be a weakness but the key to the world's salvation.

That's a good try but nay. Though I am recalling various details the more I think about it. There is a girl, the Immortal and Werewolf are trying to find, who is pregnant. The Immortal (who is not a vampire he's like a Highlander) and the vampire lady have a history where she killed his wife. The cover is in black gray and red with a picture of the Manhattan skyline. Umm that's all I've got. So annoying that I can't remember a single character name or when it was published but I can remember all that.

My suggestion is to call your public library's reference desk and ask for reader's advisory help. They have print and database resources including vampire novel trivia. Tell them what you have noted here. I'm betting they will come up with the title.
