I read a book about 12 years ago about set in the middle east I think it about a girl searching for something which sent her all over the world only to discover it was where she started, buried under a tree. Can't remember any thing else, can anyone help.

It's about a young shepherd boy. It's called The Alchemist by Coehlo. Great book!
