I just got all my parts for a new build, but I can't seem to pick out my processor. Now I want to know, when it comes to wattage, how does it affect the other parts to your build? I have a amd motherboard and I'm looking at Phenom 11 X3, X4 and X6. This will be my first build. But I'm building it the way I want it.

For most newer processors/CPUs that average power supply that needs to be in your computer should be at least 500 watts. But I recommend a high quality power supply for any computer you built it would be safer. Now the wattage of the processor shouldn't really effect any other components as long as you have the right power supply. But you will have to make sure that your power supply has enough connectors on it for every component in your PC, hard drive, dvd/cd drives, graphics card if you are going to use a high end card, fans, etc... Now make sure on your motherboard that you install the RAM correctly, most newer motherboards are dual channel and are color coded this means you have to install 2 RAM Modules at any one time.
