Two contacts at well pump pressure control switch one contact is burned?
Our water tank pressure got low and the well pump pressure control switch did not come on. After checking it out I tapped the pressure control switch (PCS) and it came on and shut off normally, however, looking at the contacts in the PCS I noticed that the contacts that the two wires were hooked up to was burned and that the other contacts that had no wires looked brand "new". Can I take the wires off the burned contacts and hook them up to the "new" contacts (after shutting off the power at the breaker of course)? Or do I need to switch sides with the contacts, putting the "new" contacts on the side of the switch box where the burned contacts are, or does it matter which side of the switch box the breakers are on? Thanks.
