I hae my birth certificate - I was adopted and givenup for adoption in Massachusettes.
I have found my mother and made contact with NO cooperation. I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to gain the name of my father in any legal papers in Massachuesttes? I want to know my ethnic background and MOSTLY, I NEED to know specific questions about my health issues and family inheritance of prepropsed ilnesses. I not only want this as a 58 year old male, I want it for my 3 adult boys and my THREE GRANDCHILDREN I think it is only humanly fair.

Any chance of gaining such information?

If the adoption is going to be opened, it's going to take an attorney versed in these affairs to do it. Your chances?? They improve significantly along with the quality of your lawyer.
