    Add/remove programs problem
I'm trying to remove Firefox so that I can reinstall it. I've had some issues lately I hope I've fixed. However when I bring up the add/remove programs window I get this error...

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe

What does this mean? How can I fix it? Oh, and please dumb it down for me, I'm not technically savvy.

Just reinstall over the top of it, no need to uninstall..

Now where are you getting this error?
If it's only on the add/remove system then use CCleaner tools instead..

I can't reinstall over the top of it. I've tried. I'm running Avast right now, I've done a system restore, to no avail.

CCleaner? I'll try that too. All of the problems started after Little J installed World of Tanks.

Either that or throw in the towel and move to Google's chrome.
Great for playing FB games ;)

Google this "completely remove firefox" and they have on their site instructions for a manual removal. Often rundll errors come from a virus infection that removes or alters the file. If you have more tham one PC with the same OS, you can copy the file from the one good one to the system 32 folder of the other as long as you put it in the proper place. If the rundll file is listed in the bad machine you can rename it like rundllold.exe and add the other to see if it fixes the issue.

Had the same thing with my windows 7.

Use Repair function in Safe mode. (F8).

Keep what you want, but safer to start from scratch. Or the original windows disk. Or the recovery disk. And set it to factory restore. This will wipe the hard drive of any viruses that are infecting your system.

This is the only way to remove a very nasty computer virus.
