(1-cosx)/(1 cosx)=csc^2x-2cscxcotx cot^2x

Multiply the left hand side by a fraction which is equal to 1 and which makes it so that the denominator when you multiply it with (1-cosx)/(1+cosx) gives the difference of two squares in the denominator.
