Leaving in the middle of the month
I paid a full months rent but will be moving out on the 15th. I live with a friend and no lease was written up. Would it be inconsiderate to ask for half my rent back? If I had a lease I would have left sooner due to the noise that constantly goes on around here, plus she hasn't lived up to what she agreed to, like my daughte having aTV, WII, cleaned out room which is mostly storage, (my friends stuff not ours) and she gave my daughter a 30 day notice 4 days ago for having a friend in her room that she pays rent for. I'm furious, the story goes on and one.

How much notice did you give prior to moving out. Even on a verbal rental, you would be expected to give a 30 day notice, from first of month to end of month.

So if you just left with no notice, not only would you not get any rent back, but well could owe the next months rent if you did not give proper notice prior to moving.
