    Replacement tub won't drain
We recently replace our old 1942 tub with a Sterling tub. The only difference is the drain is three inches higher than the original. Everything else is completely the same, why won't the water budge? We have snaked and used drano, but nothing happens. Could this be a physics issue or can a line become air locked?

Can you blow air through the drain? If so, you somehow have the trap or drain above the tub floor and yes, Physics says water doesn't flow uphill, ask Mr. Newton about gravity.
