Is it normal that my boyfriend still kisses his parents on the lips?
Maybe it's just me, but here's the situation. I'm 22 and my boyfriend is 25. He still lives at his parents, which I don't really mind (well, a little... ) but he's saving money for a house. We have been together for 6 months and I've known him longer than that. I love him, but this bothers me... He still kisses BOTH his parents on the lips! I thought I saw wrong the first time, but no, he does. It really reallt bothers me and I don't know what to do about it. Is this normal? He says it is because he's always done it... But ew! I love my parents but I wouldn't kiss them on the lips!

It's normal for him and his parents.
My daughter has always kissed me and her dad that way, just a peck.
She is thirty and still does it.
You are seeing something sexual that just is not there.
I kiss my cats on the mouth.

    Why does it annoy you?

    You crack me up.

    What are you jealous?

I find it disturbing that he would be kissing anyone else on the lips, especially his parents! I understand your annoyance with it. If my fiancé kissed his parents on the lips, I wouldn't let him kiss me for a while. That would be nasty.

At the end of the day.

Its all about how he kisses you.

    No one else.

    Its all in your head.
I kiss my Mom on the lips. She's getting old now. I love her.
    Other people too.

    You got with him.

    And his living arrangement.
You are starting to learn more about him. Only 6 months after all.

Bet you are getting impatient. See if he is going to really buck up.
Get out & do what he says. Cut the cord.

Sounds like he has always kissed his parents on the lips.

My best friend does that too. I kiss his Mom & Dad on the cheek.
    He's kind of a Momma's boy.

I love them all to death.

Oh, goodness gracious, if this is the only thing in your relationship that you are worried about this relationship won't last to the one year mark.

People kiss their parents on the lips, they don't use open mouth and full on tongue.

I kiss my mother on the lips. She is 74 and I love her to death, but there is nothing sexual about it. I kissed my father on the lips before he passed on as well. It's a sign of a very close knit family, and nothing more than that. Either get over it or move on.

Jealous? Lol no Im not jealous at all, I just find it gross that he kisses his parents and then kisses me. I love my parents to death but I don't kiss them on the lips. I even asked my mom and she said that when your kids its okay, but after a while its on the cheeks for parents. Im not jealous, honestly Im quite discusted by the fact that his lips kisses his parents and me, in my head it doesn't work that way it's just gross.

Perhaps you should end this before your attitude affects his relationship with his parents. He should not feel bad about his love for his parents because it grosses you out, especially if there is nothing wrong with what he does

So it's nasty and disturbing if a child kisses a parent on the lips?

I kiss my Mom (my Dad is deceased) on the lips - also my stepchildren, their spouses and my stepgrandchildren. Also my husband.

What is normal for someone else may very well be nasty, annoying and disturbing to you. I guess normal is in the eyes of the beholder.

I find not having a drivers license when you are 20 years old and have passed drivers training school to be not normal.

    Who knows what normal is?

    We should close this thread.
With a big kiss. Lips or otherwise.
