Foster parents won't give the child back to relatives because they have bonded
My niece was born 3/11 and removed by cps in 4/11. My nephew and wife completed the homestudy and was approved by the state and cps in 6/11. In 7/11 the attorney for the child put a do not move order in because she feels the 7 month old baby and foster parents have bonded. It has been 3 court delays since. Don't this mean their bonding defense is getting better? It is as if the foster parents can just steal any child they want to keep. Can they do this? My nephew did what cps required and now is being denied the child solely because of the foster parents. Is this legal? Can they use their foster parent status as a means to adopt kids they want?

Apparently "they" can do this because they "are" doing this.

Is the child available for adoption OR in a foster care situation until the parents are able to regain custody?

The attorney for the child doesn't act alone. He/she doesn't get to make the decisions without backing them up with reasons and proof.

Why was a month old baby removed from your nephew's home?
