Can an unwed mother leave Ca. If the father has filed paternity papers?
I have a friend that is pregnant, 4 months. She was moving out of state, Cali to Tn, when she found out. She stayed to let the father know, and he filed for paternity. So she waited to get the papers for that. She still wants to leave but is not sure that she can since the paternity papers where filed. Does she have to stay in Cali or can she move as she had planned?

She can move but she may be required to move back or at a minimum return the child to California. Why does she think she should be the exclusive parent ?

Agree, she is free to move, but once the child is born, the father can file in court to order the child to move back to CA.
