The hot water has stopped flowing from our kitchen faucet. When the mixing faucet is turned to hot nothing comes out at all and you cannot feel the flow of water in the pipes below. What on Earth is going on?

Sounds you pulled up some trash and it's now blocking the hot water inlet ports on your cartridge, Shut the water off to the valve and pull the cartridge. Check and clean the inlet ports. Now place a pan over the open valve body and turn the hot water back on to flush out the supply. You should hear a strong stream. If not then tell me about it. Reassemble and test. Better now? Hi Tom, thanks for replying. I am a little confused as to where I find the cartridge. I have been looking at diagrams and am coming up blank. I'm a single mom and really can't afford to hire a plumber so your help is so very appreciated!

I can help but I must know what I'm working with, I need the brand and model # of the faucet. Those diagrams would help a lot. Could you scan them into your hard drive and attach them to a post if I gave you directions on how to attach them? Back to you. Tom
