-x-7y=14
-4x-14y=28

$-x-7y=14, -4x-14y=28$

Multiply by 2 both sides of $-x-7y=14$ , so you get $-2x-14y=28$ . Then subtract side by side this with $-4x-14y=28$ so you get $2x=0$ which leads to $x=0$ ,
and $y=-2$ follows.
