    final velocity
a car, initially at rest, is accelerated at 10m/s^2 over a distance of 40m.
what will the final velocity of the car be after is has travled 40m?

    Use the formula

where Vf = final velocity and Vi = initial velocity, which you know is zero. From this you can calculate Vf.

    Use the formula

where are respectively final velocity, initial velocity, acceleration and distance traveled.
