First of all, thanks for reading.
So I really like this girl from my workplace. We both joined just a week apart, and are the only two new joinees in a pretty big company in a completely new country. As a bit of a background, we are from different races (she a German, me a South Asian). We don't work for the same team, and have little professional interaction. But we became good friends on and off work, and for the first 3-4 weeks, we regularly went out for lunches, shopping for stuff, apartment hunting, and exploring the city, sometimes with groups, but mostly just the two of us. We updated each other with everything that was going on, and are very frank with each other about what we feel about the people at work. She also tells me all her problems at work, and I'm a good listener.
So this goes on, we move into our own apartments within 5 minutes of each other. We still go out during weekends, and she invited me to some parties that her friends threw. Today, she invited me for dinner to her place, she cooked, I took some wine and dessert, was a gentleman, and returned without doing anything, as I don't think there was any romantic vibe from her side.
But I'm a complete novice when it comes to women, and I really don't know if she is into me. I have a feeling I'm into the dreaded 'friendzone', but I don't really know for sure. And if she is into me, I have no idea how to approach it without the possibility of ruining the wonderful friendship that we have. I have never really been close to anyone before this, and so it would be really painful if me asking her out ruins the only friendship I have had where I can talk a little openly. But I really do want to go out with her, and I have no idea what to do. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

There's too much between you than just a friendship. Whatever is the relationship, I'd give you an advice in quote of old good saying: don't you sh1t where you eat.
Go to party she invited you to, but look at other girls.

Keep it friends, and don't see anything but friendship. That's all you two strangers have in common is each others company in a strange land. Don't ruin that, so at least you have a friend in this co worker.

You may have feelings but never get carried away or act on impulse with your FRIEND.
