    What should I MAKE my family for Christmas?
    I have 6 people in my family that I don't know what to make for them. Here is some info about them:

    Dad: goes fishing a lot and likes to ski
    Mom: regular house mom
    Sam: she is 14 and loves her computer, itouch and xbox
    Zoe: she is 16 and likes to be with her friends a lot.
    And my pet hamster:
    Hammy: likes to burrow in her bedding. Likes me holding her.

    Thanks! And please remember it has to be all homemade. Thanks again!

    You intend to make 5 gifts in less than 2 weeks?

    What are your skills? Do you sew, work with wood, paint, draw, write?

    Write each of your parents a letter on nice stationary in your own, very best handwriting. Tell each of them what they mean to you. Recall some good memories too. Maybe add some drawings of activities you've done with each of them. Be sure to sign it and tell them you love them.

    Bake Christmas cookies for your sibs, or make fudge for them. An easy recipe is Magic French Chocolate Fudge:

    * 18 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
    * 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
    * 2 teaspoons vanilla
    * 1 pinch salt
    * 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts are good)
    Directions:
    1. In a double-boiler or in a heavy saucepan over low heat melt chocolate.
    2. Remove from heat and add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt, and nuts.
    3. Stir until smooth.
    4. Turn into waxed-paper lined 8-inch square pan and chill in fridge.
    5. Remove from pan and cut into squares.
    6. Store in cool place in an airtight container.

    Or make Nut Clusters:

    Melt 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips. Add 1/4 cup peanut butter + 1/2 cup or more of roasted, salted peanuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Store when cool and firm.

    Collect toilet paper rolls for Hammy who will chew them up for a nest.

    Like the fudge recipe! Make a batch and mail it to me.

    I was thinking coupon book - a coupon for drying the dishes, for example, or weeding the garden, or sitting with a sibling and watching a movie.

    I LOVE it when I get those from my stepchildren and stepgrandchildren!

    One of the nicest gifts I've ever received is a handwritten letter from a stepdaughter telling me how important our relationship is to her - still brings tears to my eyes. She rolled it up and tied it with a red ribbon. Lovely gift - and cost her nothing.

    I used to make those cupon books all the time and my mother LOVED them. I think that is a perfect gift for your "regular" house mom.

    What about making (sewing) Sam a case for her Ipad?

    You could make Zoe friendship necklaces or bracelttes to give to her friends.

    Do you think you have enough time to knit dad a hat? He could use it fishing OR skiing.

    And little Hammy, I bet he would like some of the extra scraps from your sewing/knitting projects to burrow in. Or some old cotton, and maybe just a little extra love on Christmas day.

    Next year... start earlier! :)

    Sam is also in LOVE with Chris Webby. She writes Chris across her knuckles and Webby right under neath Chris. Should I make her something involving him? Or, just forget about it.
    Zoe is also in LOVE with Chris Webby too. But not as much as Sam is. Should I make them both a poster?
    I already made mom and dad the coupon book 4 times so I would like it to be something more special. And do any of you know any good treats I could make Hammy?
