Placing a divorce ad for free?
I live in Georgia and my husband lives in Alabama! I haven't seen or talked to him in 2yrs. Isn't there a way I could get like a free DIVORCE by placing a ad in the paper?

No, first there is no such thing as a free divorce. Next there is no such thing as a divorce by newspaper.

All you can do by newspaper is give them legal notification of a divorce if you do not know where they live or how to get in hold of them. In fact this is one of the most costly ways to do a divorce.

So the news paper again is only a legal service, a way to notify them of the divorce hearings in court, if you don't know where they live. The cost of putting this in the newspaper can be almost as much as the actual divorce if you both agree to terms.

The cheapest way to do divorce is for you both to agree, fill out the paper work and file it in the court house.

You're confusing notice with divorce. If you can't find someone many states agree to "constructive" notice, meaning that you have made every attempt to find someone to serve them with papers. If you have no idea where a person lives or works and no way to find them, many states will consider putting an ad in the paper to satisfy constructive notice and allow you to file for divorce.
