Shower Handle Broken - Can't stop water
    Hello,

I have an old shower handle and when I was pulling it out to turn the water on the entire handle came off.

Now water is flowing out faster than it's draining and every 5 minutes I have to run about 5 buckets worth into the kitchen sink.

How do I turn the water off? Please help!

See attached pictures of faucet/handle and connection.https://picasaweb.google.com/chrisjrelf/BrokenShower

There might be a shut-off valve outside your house, at the water meter.

Thanks I found the shut off valve now it looks like it will be a major repair including opening up the wall.

For a broken handle? Got to be more to it then just that. What am I missing here? Tom

The valve is completely broken. We need to install some sort of isolation valve before we cut open the wall to fix it otherwise my building will be without water even longer.

Where do you have the water shut off at now? Did you have to shut the building down? Is this a multi unit building? Why not simply open up the wall behind the shower and install stops on the supplies? Good luck, Tom
