When we begin to run the hot water from the sink faucets in two of our bathrooms the pressure is as it should be. After them running for only 30-60 seconds the pressure drops considerably. This only happens with the sink faucets and only in the two bathrooms. The other bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, and showers are all fine. Of course we thought of just installing new faucets, but before going through the hassle and expense, thought we would ask for advice/ideas here first. Please advise. Thank you.

Let's do a little checking and attempt to localize the problem. Turn the water off to one of the valves and open it up. Now place a pan over the open valve and turn the water back on. Does the pressure still drop? Is the hot water the only one affected ? Let me know if you still lose pressure from the hot water supply. Back to you, Tom

Please excuse my ignorance here, I am a female who knows little to nothing about any of this kind of stuff. It is definitely only the hot water that loses pressure. Where is the best place to turn off the hot water to the valve? In the basement? Or can I turn it off AT the valve? Then, how do I open it up? Do you mean just turn the valve to open or disconnect the pipes with a wrench? Thanks for your patience. :) Bryla
