Hi guys wondered if you help me too I have a similare issue. Have been trying for a baby and am now 6 weeks pregnant (gestation) and last month my period was a week late. First 3 days were light more like implantation bleeding but then got heavier but finished after 4 days. Because I was late I did numerous tests that all came back positive we then only tried once this month and I'm pregnant but feel and look a lot further on. I think I could be pregnant from before but my levels were too low to detect and the bleed was not an actual period. I'm desperate for an early scan but my docs won't send me for one as they think its was a period I experienced. I am never late but it just seems a bit strange. What do you guys think? Xxx

Hi there I'm current 9 1/2 weeks pregnant congrats on your little one. It sounds to me as though you are pregnant from last month. I would not let up on asking your dr for a ultrasound. I've high anxiety issues and I always ovulate funny. I kept telling dr I was pregnant but blood test was negative 2 weeks later positive test. so you know best. I had a scan at 5 weeks and saw gestational sac and yolk sac. Had a another at 6 weeks and saw baby and heartbeat, so be persistent with them.

I guess the issue why does it matter if you know NOW if you are further along. Estimates from tests are at best give or take a week or two anyway since they are based on average size and not everyone is average.

So just follow your doctors instructions and don't worry about the exact number of weeks pregnant at this early date.

How soon after the last period did you test and get positive results?

You will likely have a scan done in the next several weeks and will get a better idea once measurements of baby are taken. It wouldn't be unusual for your dates to be adjusted after the scan if you are indeed a bit further along.

Talk to u doc and see what they can do what age are u?
