Do you have a problem with him masturbating or does he have an issue with people (specifically you) knowing he masturbates?

Why are you trying to catch him? Is it because of a perception that he is lying to you?

Some men are very private about masturbation. It can because of their up-bringing or events from their past. Trying to force the issue into the 'light' may be causing him to react by hiding and lying. If you back off and let him know it okay to talk about his private needs when he is ready, he may stop the behavior that is worrying you.

On the other hand, he may be getting something out of 'being caught'. Have you discussed fetishes and what some people term kinks? Does he feel comfortable talking about his sexual needs and desires with you?

Trying to figure out what is ejaculate and what isn't probably isn't going to help. Confronting him seems to making matters worse.
