I have Sony KDF-55XS955 LCD Projection HDTV 6 years old. It was getting a little dark so replaced the lamp for the first time about a month ago. The brightness improved dramatically. However now the lower right corner is blue about 6 inches horizontally and vertically from the corner. Also I am getting very small blue dots over most of the screen when there is a dark area of the picture, especially noticeable when the set is turning off. Could this problem be from the lamp? I noticed that there was some dust in the lamp area but I did not do anything about it as I was concerned that cleaning the area might cause the dust to affect something. Would it do any good to remove the lamp, clean the area and replace the same lamp or is there some other problem?
