I was attending school to become a firefighter. First month in school after receiving my OSAP I was in an a traumatic brain trauma accident. I was in a coma, unable to continue with school or work afterwards.

I had VISA debt, phone debt, and the fresh OSAP debt.

My visa and phone bills accumulated shortly after during my rehabilitation. Now I'm on ODSP disability payments.

I'm wondering what I can do and how the statute applies to me (having just learned about this today). I plan to pay the OSAP back, and my debts with OSAP combined only add to about 10 000.

Any guidance would be appreciated greatly.
