Take the cover off and see, they could vary. Newer ones tend to be candellabra base. If this is a 1/2 round flush fit cover, carefully push it up and turn to the left, the cover should come off.

The cover comes off easily and a regular lamp light bulb doesn't fit, too big, I'll need to find a smaller size

If it is a regular full size base, try a microwave or oven bulb, they are smaller, maybe a vacuum cleaner bulb.
